How is this different from searching Reddit?

Reddit search shows you posts. SubsMap shows you communities: a heatmap of 126,413 mapped subreddits, the overlap between them from real commenter co-occurrence, the top posts in each, and who the most active voices are.

Is SubsMap free?

Yes, free while we're in beta, no credit card. Sign in with Google to open the full map. Paid plans will come later, and beta users will get plenty of notice first.

Do I need a Reddit account?

No. You sign in with Google and the full map is yours to explore. A Reddit account only matters when you go to actually post, which still happens on Reddit itself.

How many subreddits does it cover?

126,413 and counting, across every major topic, from SaaS and crypto to gaming and design. If a community is active, it's probably already on the map.

Where does the data come from?

Public Reddit posts, comments and community metadata only. Nothing private, nothing behind a login. Overlap is computed from public commenter activity across subreddits.

How current is the data?

Post history covers roughly the last six months. When you open a community, its headline stats and recent posts are pulled live from Reddit at that moment.

What data do you collect about me?

The maps use public Reddit data only. If you sign in or subscribe for updates, we store your email to send product news and your niche digest, nothing else, and we never sell it. You can unsubscribe any time. Full details live in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
