1. Who we are

subsmap ("we," "us," or "our") operates a tool that surfaces subreddit analytics, including top posts, comments, posters, commenters, best times to post, and keyword trends. For any privacy questions, contact us at hello@supermeta.agency.

2. What we collect

Account and contact information. When you sign up or join our waitlist, we collect your email address. We use this to create and manage your account, communicate with you about the Service, and send marketing content and product updates (you can opt out at any time, see Section 6).

Usage data. We automatically collect basic technical information when you use subsmap, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you interact with the Service. We use Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and similar analytics tools to understand traffic and usage patterns and improve the Service.

Reddit and third-party content. subsmap analyzes publicly available Reddit content, sourced through Reddit's own API and other third-party data providers. This content reflects what is already public on Reddit; we don't collect private messages or non-public Reddit data.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies necessary for the Service to function, such as keeping you signed in, along with analytics cookies from tools like GA4. We do not use invasive tracking pixels or sell data collected through cookies.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve subsmap;
• Communicate with you, including marketing content via our Substack newsletter and product updates about subsmap;
• Understand usage and traffic trends through GA4, Google Search Console, and other analytics tools;
• Monitor for abuse, fraud, and security issues;
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us run subsmap, such as hosting, analytics (including Google Analytics and Google Search Console), and email delivery providers, under obligations to protect your data;
• Reddit, Inc. and other data sources, only to the extent needed to retrieve publicly available content;
• Authorities, if required to comply with a valid legal request.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return or as needed for legal or operational reasons. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Marketing communications

If you provide your email, we may send you marketing content through our Substack newsletter as well as product updates about subsmap. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by emailing hello@supermeta.agency. Opting out of marketing emails won't affect essential account or service communications.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@supermeta.agency. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.

8. Age requirements and NSFW content

subsmap is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their local jurisdiction if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under this age. subsmap includes a toggle to view analytics from NSFW subreddits; enabling it is an affirmation that you meet the age and legal requirements in your jurisdiction to view adult content. If you believe someone underage has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@supermeta.agency and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
